Hidden Roses

A dark shadow appears,
Like a mirror in the light.
A mirror that shows not who I am,
But a reflection of what I seem to be

Nothing.
Nothing but a tainted image,
A tainted image of you
And the emptiness that you see in me
But that’s the thing about shadows.

Light
Light, they can’t exist without it.
Can’t exist without it, because shadows
Are both light and darkness
But nothing with just one.

Shadow
Shadow that you see me as
You see me as, know that I
Am not just dark and incomplete.

Roses.
Roses hidden just like me
Just like me, still blossoms
You may not know that it’s there
But it blooms still without you.

I
I possess a hidden rose,
A hidden rose you cannot see
Because, you only know my shadow
But yet I too blossom.

Thorns.
Thorns come along my stem
Along my stem they pierce
Like insects, swarming closer to my light
But yet, they never reach my flower

You
You are a dark shadow
A dark shadow to someone else
A hidden rose they cannot see, a thorn
But yet like mine, your light still shines
On.

Like the first time

In everything that I can do..in every word I speak
I still know that no matter what
Your image I will keep
Deep within my heart
Deeper in my soul
Somewhere in my consciousness
You exist
Hiding
waiting
but I know that you are there
Still a part of me
my being
wanting
hoping
Praying
That maybe one day
I'd look at you again
I like I did the first time
with love
and understanding
with peace
and content
Just like I did then
just like the first time
I saw your pretty face

Just wrote and this is what came out...hope you like it=)

The value of a good teacher

My teacher taught me determination.

I don’t think he meant to but he did.

I learnt it in the way he

Was always there with energy,

Even when we refused to learn.

My teacher taught me love.

I didn’t see it coming.

I learnt it in the way she

Spoke, with passion,

Even when she was angry with us.

My teacher taught me strength.

It happened quite accidently.

I learnt it in the way he

Stood, strong and tall,

Even as we continuously faltered.

My teacher taught me Hope.

Quite suddenly it hit me.

I learnt it in the way she

Answered us, with understanding,

Even when we werebeing rude.

The value of a good teacher

I learnt each and everyday

My teacher gave me inspiration

To be what I am today.
