Christian and Oli Untitled

THE CHALLENGE: Find a picture that inspires you and write a story or poem about it. Include a short paragraph on why you picked the picture.

The Picture:(from a German show called Verbotene Liebe or Forbidden Love in English. The characters in the shot are Christian the blond on the right and Oliver the Brunette on the left)
The Poem
Morning comes and there is nothing
No light, no sunshine, no love.
And nothing matters
I walk outside, it’s darker still
And I wonder, what’s missing?

The sun slowly sets
The day goes by, a myth
And I stare
It reminds me of…
What? Something’s missing.

Winter’s here and dew falls
My heart beats softly against the cold
And death is inevitable
Because I’m still trying to find it
I’m not sure anymore
I can’t seem to live anymore, something’s gone.

Somehow, the ice melts and daylight breaks,
It’s changed now, I can tell,
And there you are
My heart is beating like a drum
Yet I feel complete, there is light again
I’ve never felt more alive
Time stops now, tell me, is it you?

Summer now,
My arms around you,
And you stare right back at me.
The sky changes,
The years go by,
It doesn’t seem to matter,
You’re here with me
And time stops, just because I love you.

The Reason: I choose this picture because of the intensity that Christian looks at Oliver with is breathtaking. It makes me believe in true love and it inspires me to believe that anything is possible. What inspires me about it even more about it, is knowing that although you cant tell it from the picture, Oliver is staring back at Chris with the same intensity, the same love that he is receiving.

What do you say? Do you think I did the picture justice? Leave a comment below and let me know.

Hidden Roses

A dark shadow appears,
Like a mirror in the light.
A mirror that shows not who I am,
But a reflection of what I seem to be

Nothing.
Nothing but a tainted image,
A tainted image of you
And the emptiness that you see in me
But that’s the thing about shadows.

Light
Light, they can’t exist without it.
Can’t exist without it, because shadows
Are both light and darkness
But nothing with just one.

Shadow
Shadow that you see me as
You see me as, know that I
Am not just dark and incomplete.

Roses.
Roses hidden just like me
Just like me, still blossoms
You may not know that it’s there
But it blooms still without you.

I
I possess a hidden rose,
A hidden rose you cannot see
Because, you only know my shadow
But yet I too blossom.

Thorns.
Thorns come along my stem
Along my stem they pierce
Like insects, swarming closer to my light
But yet, they never reach my flower

You
You are a dark shadow
A dark shadow to someone else
A hidden rose they cannot see, a thorn
But yet like mine, your light still shines
On.

Like the first time

In everything that I can do..in every word I speak
I still know that no matter what
Your image I will keep
Deep within my heart
Deeper in my soul
Somewhere in my consciousness
You exist
Hiding
waiting
but I know that you are there
Still a part of me
my being
wanting
hoping
Praying
That maybe one day
I'd look at you again
I like I did the first time
with love
and understanding
with peace
and content
Just like I did then
just like the first time
I saw your pretty face

Just wrote and this is what came out...hope you like it=)

The value of a good teacher

My teacher taught me determination.

I don’t think he meant to but he did.

I learnt it in the way he

Was always there with energy,

Even when we refused to learn.

My teacher taught me love.

I didn’t see it coming.

I learnt it in the way she

Spoke, with passion,

Even when she was angry with us.

My teacher taught me strength.

It happened quite accidently.

I learnt it in the way he

Stood, strong and tall,

Even as we continuously faltered.

My teacher taught me Hope.

Quite suddenly it hit me.

I learnt it in the way she

Answered us, with understanding,

Even when we werebeing rude.

The value of a good teacher

I learnt each and everyday

My teacher gave me inspiration

To be what I am today.

The dancers

Tempting touches,

Slow movements,

Bodies forming,

Becoming one.

Fingers caressing,

Sweet music

Hearts melting,

Tempo increasing,

Time stopping,

They dance,

The night,

Away.

The Dance

Close enough to kiss.

Close enough to touch.

Yet they stood barely moving…

Slowly the tempo rise,

And their bodies with it.

They move like parts of each other.

Looking at them you begin to feel alone,

Longing to feel what they do,

To be a part of them,

To become the magic,

The magic of the dance.

Fingers caressing every curve,

He holds her and she holds him,

Like a loved one, a soul mate,

And just like that.

You are captivated.

Your entire body falls into it,

The trap that is the dance,

All you are able to do is wait.

Watch and wait in awe,

Until the music releases you,

And when it does instantly you regret it.

Its memory stains your soul,

Emptiness fills you,

Until the day the dance catches you again.
