To the one who stole my heart

To the one who stole my heart,
Give it back to me!
Can’t you see that I need it?
Don’t you see the gaping hole inside me?
Give it back!

I want it back! Its mine!
I’m not whole without it
Give it back!
Take all my jewels, my rings!
Take all the money I own!
Just, give me back my heart.

To the one who stole my heart,
I’m empty now
Why did you take it?
Why do you need it?
Please, give it back.

To the one who stole my heart,
I found it with yours
This morning in a box, by my door.
You gave it back to me
And you gave me yours.

To the one who had stolen my heart,
Take it back!
It no longer makes me whole
Only your heart completes me…

To the one who had stolen my heart,
Please, take it back.

Dreams and Aspirations

Dedication shows,
Perspiration leading to success.
A spark of Inspiration
Like a light in the dark,
Bright colours in shades of grey,
Making you hope for a change

Reaching out,
Faith giving us hopes to succeed.
Dreams and Aspirations
Like a toy to a child,
Food for the hungry,
The prospect of a better tomorrow.

Falling down,
Tears changing nothing
That was once gained.
Setbacks and Distractions
Like tests of life,
A thorn in a rose,
Teaching us lessons along the way

Rising again,
A spark of Inspiration
Dreams and Aspirations
Setbacks and Distractions
With some Faith and Perspiration
Hoping for success
We get up and continue on….

The Falling Star

A falling star seemingly nothing at all,
But to some, everything.
A dream lost, a glass broken, a kiss-
A kiss that meant everything or nothing at all.

The star falls slowly
Over a deep and dark hollow
But brings light to this forsaken place.

The star falls still,
But with little speed now,
Falling over the rooftops of many,
Spreading some sort of unseen common bond,
Among all who which it has seen.

The star falls still,
Even faster now,
Though its trip is almost over
And slowly begins to fade away and die.

Just as quickly as it came, it is gone.
Only what it has done still remains
And the lives it has touched still remembers it.

So it will remain until another comes
And follows another path,
Creating more stories that will later be retold
And more lives that will forever be changed.
